The dangers of formaldehyde
Formaldehyde is present in 100% of homes, often in high concentrations.
It is in fact emitted by numerous sources present in the home:
construction and decoration materials, tobacco smoke, perfumed candles, chipboard (furniture, wooden flooring),
cleaning products, DIY products (paint, adhesives, varnish), insulation materials, cosmetics.
It is a colorless gas that is a volatile organic compound.

Formaldehyde is an irritant to the eyes, nose and throat that can aggravate symptoms and increase the risk of the appearance of allergies and asthma.
The World Health Organization has also recently declared it a carcinogen to humans.

The neutral molecule formed during the destruction of the formaldehyde
is yellow-orange. As such, the more formaldehyde is destroyed,
the more the granules darken from light yellow to dark brown.
